Ok, so it's been 8 months since I updated this blog. But since the only follower I have is my sister Lynne, and she knows I'm not too good at this stuff, so all is not lost.
So, summer has come and gone and the kids are back in school. I enjoy summers but I must say I am very happy school is back in session. My girls are in 11th, 8th, 7th and 6th grades now. Last week Courtney (11th grader) tells me "just think mom, this time next year I will be applying to colleges!" I gave her a very eager fist pound. I've come to the conclusion that I am not like most mom's that I surround myself with. I've noticed that they get very sad at the fact that their kids are growing up. Me, on the other hand, well I am excited about my kids growing up and moving out. Yes, I truly am. I love my girls like nothing else, but I am really looking forward to Courtney moving out on her own and figuring out this thing called life. I'm really looking forward to when all 4 of my girls are adults and are best friends (hopefully they don't ruin that opportunity during their childhood though). I am looking forward to when they all come home to visit and maybe they bring their boyfriends too.
Call me weird. As I re-read this I realize it must sound very weird! I think it has something to do with the fact that I had these 4 wonderful beings in the short span of 5 years. Not the smartest thing to do but, as I'm sure everyone who knows us can attest, it couldn't have been planned better for Cameron to have her sisters so close in age as her. And speaking of Cameron, I will admit that she is the only one who I don't want to grow up and move on without her dad and I. But I will save that discussion for another post....another 9 or 10 months down the road.
I'll try to do better than that Lynne! ;)
